“Psychology Works” Fact Sheet: Psychological Impacts of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) — Canadian Psychological Association

“Assessing and Coping with Risk Stress during an infectious disease outbreak can include: Fear and worry about your own health and the health of your loved ones Changes in sleep or eating patterns Difficulty sleeping or concentrating Worsening of chronic health problems Increased use of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs”

This article is an absolute must read for everyone. The first step towards getting to your ideal life is realizing and accepting where you are now. Stress can sometimes affect us in ways we don’t recognize and therefore treat the symptom rather than the core issue. So often we think deterioration of our health, challenges such as relationship or marital problems, alcohol and substance abuse, sex and love addiction, eating disorders etc. are the root and that there is no hope. These are often just symptoms of underlying stress that we have not realized we are experiencing and are very capable of facing. This article is a very good resource and test to see what stress you may have, and how it may be causing other issues. We strongly encourage you to take the time to read through this. Nothing is more important than your health and oftentimes that starts with a healthy mind and thinking.
